Tomas Milerius
Tomas Milerius was born into a family of musicians and was introduced to music at an early age. His first lessons began at the age of four, taught by his father, Antanas, the Principal Clarinetist of the Klaipeda State Symphony Orchestra. After completing his studies with his father, Tomas continued his education abroad, studying under Patrick Messina and Pierre Génisson in Paris, France, and later under Benjamin Dieltjens in Brussels.
Tomas is currently pursuing his studies at The Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Charles Neidich.
A winner of over a dozen international competitions, Tomas’s accolades include the Silverstein Clarinet Contest (2022), the Glasgow Clarinet Competition (2018), the Grand Prize at the International American Single Reed Summit Clarinet Competition (2022), etc. Following this latest achievement, he signed as an Artist with Royal Global USA, a renowned instrument manufacturer.
He has performed in Lithuania, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, Romania, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates , appeared as a soloist in the prestigious venues such as Salle Cortot, the Etihad Museum, Palanga Kurhauz, with such orchestras as Klaipeda State Symphony Orchestra, Palanga State Orchestra, KCB Symphony, etc. Most recently making his solo debut at the world-renowned Vienna Musikverein, where he performed with the Vienna City Chamber Orchestra playing Julius Rietz’s Clarinet Concerto.
