Felix Brucklacher (*1999) looks to be one of the most promising clarinetists of his generation.
He received his first clarinet lessons at the age of five and started his studies at HfM Detmold in 2017 with Prof. Thomas Lindhorst.
Felix has been able to win several auditions for orchestra academies such as the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and substituted in orchestras like State Theatre Augsburg, State Theater Schwerin, Munich Symphony Orchestra and many more.
Furthermore, he was awarded prizes in many competitions such as the 1st Lugano International Competition, the 2nd Swiss International Music Competition and others. In 2020, he was granted a scholarship by the Oscar and Vera Ritter-Foundation.
Felix has played under the baton of renowned conductors like Simon Rattle, Michael Tilson Thomas and Iván Fischer and was able to work together with soloists like Lisa Batiashvili, Gautier Capucon and Kirill Gerstein.
His activities led him to play in countless concert halls such as the Concertgebow Amsterdam, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Smetana Hall in Prague.
With only 23 years old, Felix will become the associate principal clarinetist on Nuremberg Symphony for the season 23/24.
