Camilo Irizo studied in Conservatorio Superior de Música “Manuel Castillo” from Seville. Nowadays he is teaching as professor in the same Conservatory.
As a player he has performed in numerous concert hall both inside and outside his country, such as: Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Musikverein (Viena), Sendesaal from the Radio (Bremen), Auditorio 400 del Museo Reina Sofia (Madrid), Teatro of Maestranza (Sevilla), Teatro Central (Sevilla), Auditori of Barcelona, Auditorio of Zaragoza, Centro Galego of Arte Contemporáneo, Teatros of the Canal (Madrid), Centro Ccori Wasi of Lima, Teatro of Brest, Auditorio León de Greiff of Bogotá, among others.
He is playing in Ensemble Taller Sonoro from Seville and he is Director of the magazine Espacio Sonoro, about contemporary music (www.espaciosonoro.tallersonoro.com). He has taught in courses and masterclasses, both in Spain and outside.
He is an endorser of Yamaha clarinets and D’addario reeds.
He has recorded for Radio Clásica, Radio and Televisión Vasca (EITB), Radio CCE of Lima (Perú), Nordwest Radio of Bremen (Alemania), and Radio Televisión Galega. Recordings for labels Columna Música, Anemos, Instituto Cervantes of Bremen and Fundación Autor-CDMC. Currently he has recorded a new CD “Un diálogo cordial” about composer Luis de Pablo’s.
