Bence Bubreg , 18 – living in Austria – comes from a Hungarian musician family. He has been winning first prize by various international competitions in Japan, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Slovenien, Austria, Ukraine, Hungary, Croatia. Recently he received the Audience Award, and the ALSO Award at the OSAKA International Music Competition in Japan, as well as the Best Austrian Clarinetist special Award at the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Austria. For his extraordinary artistic achievement, Bence received in 2017 the Jeunesse Special Award. Beside his studies at the Sibelius Academy Helsinki with Harri Mäki, he has been receiving further inspiration from personalities such as Francois Benda, Sabine Meyer, Sharon Kam, Martin Fröst, Nicholas Cox, Alois Brandhofer. Highlights of Bence´s last concert season include solo debuts with Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and Innstrumenti Tyrolean Chamber Orchestra.
Apart from his solo performances he has developed with his brother Bence Bubreg – Duo Bubreg2 – an active concert schedule. Bence Bubreg has performed in many prestigious concert halls, such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, National Philharmonic Hall in Kiev, Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, Rudolfinum in Prag, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Haus der Musik in Innsbruck, Ooppera and Musiikkitalo in Helsinki, Takatsuki Gendai Gekijyo in Osaka. During his tours, the musician appears at several music festivals such as Festival Za poklady Broumovska, and Concertino Prag South Bohemian Festival in Czech Republic, Andorra Saxfest, Murten Classics Festival in Switzerland, Legeartis Lech Festival in Germany, International Tchaikovsky Festival in Ukraine, ISA Festival and Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival and MQ Openair Festival in Austria, Yury Bashmet´s Winter International Art Festival in Russia. With the support of the Cesky rozhlas Czech Radio, Bence Bubreg released his debut CD album with his brother Márton Bubreg.
