ALTO SAXOPHONE (Jazz)GREG OSBY
"Silverstein has achieved a solution to what has been an issue for woodwind players for ages. Their AMBIPOLY woodwind reed offers the appropriate amount of resistance and great response in all registers. They produce a tone that is very authentic, centered and focused. I recommend the Ambipoly reed to players of all genres, either as a back up for a cane reed during special instances or as a full substitute conversion."

“If you want one reed to vibrate on that feels like home every time you play your horn The Silverstein ALTA AMBIPOLY Tenor reed is for you !! Try one and you’ll hear and feel what I’m talking about..."
TENOR Saxophone (JAZZ) TONY MALABY
"The Silverstein company came through with these crazy-*** new reeds synthetic and not affected by the weather. I love playing them down there. I've recorded with the reeds a few times, and the cats can't tell that I'm playing plastic reeds—they sound great."
Bb Clarinet Wenzel FUCHS
I have been playing Alta Ambipoly reeds exclusively for my orchestra, sole performance and all recordings.
AMBIPOLY is a true revolution. With the rich, dark and round sound, it play like the best cane reed. Adding all other benefits, AMBIPOLY brought an entirely new ear to clarinet community. AMBIPOLY is my reed!

“I was pleasantly surprised by the AMBIPOLY Oboe Reed. The *traditional binding method of a metal staple and nylon thread made the reed feel very familiar, and the AMBIPOLY material actually feels like cane. I am able to play evenly throughout the registers with a nice, round sound, good legato, and ease in the higher register. I would be very happy to play on a reed like this every day.”
Bass ClarinetRocco Parisi
"Hi everyone, you guys are not gonna believe this but i'm playing with a Silverstein Ambipoly Reed and guess what? the sound is exactly the same as cane reeds that we know very well. Obviously, Ambipoly reed has a lot of advantages and features that the other reeds don't have. For example, one of the main advantages is the fact that the Ambipoly Reed is reliable in all weather and it is more resistant to humidity and other factors that could influence the performance of the artist. "

"Definitely in the AMBIPOLY reed I find the quality of sound, projection and sound texture that I seek to be able to express myself better on my instrument. These reeds provide everything that a musician demands in the different situations and scenarios that today's world demands, in addition to the durability and quality that we always require."
Bb ClarinetMilan Rericha
"The reeds are incredible ....this is really the product which can change the future ..in all direction of playing ...sounds incredibly, keeps same equal intonation in each register and is endless flexible..makes me feel to play on and on ....and the biggest advantage is that it behaves like proper cane reed but longer you play better it gets...and is beautiful by design! Ambipoly is better than any cane reed I have ever played."
Bb Clarinet NANCY BRAITHWAITE
I have been playing Alta Ambipoly reeds exclusively since I first tried them in early 2019.
Although the original cut works very well on my set up, I am now completely IN LOVE with the new Primo cut.
This reed has an added warmth and flexibility, an even sound throughout the registers, wonderful response in articulation and excellent intonation also in the upper register. It also invites a variety of different colors and enhances relaxation. The ALTA Ambipoly Primo reed offers me unprecedented artistic freedom!

"I highly recommend every aspiring saxophonist check out their full product line. My first time using an Ambipoly reed was for a performance at Teatro Antico de Taormina in Sicily, Italy and I immediately realized their value. First, they sound great! Additionally, they behave the same whether you're indoors or outdoors, if it's hot or cold, humid or dry. They also last a very long time and are incredibly consistent. I have no plans to ever return to a cane reed on any of my instruments."
OboeRodrigo Nagamori
"The Ambipoly oboe reed is reliable, stable and easy to customize for any oboist. I recommend everybody to try what I consider a big revolution in the double reed world.!"
Tenor Sax Kenny K C Lin
"The ALTA AMBIPOLY reed responds very well, balanced from the bottom to the top all through the horn.
With it's great consistency, I can use it everyday and every way from practice to performance or studio recording session, it offers great sound. Love it! Highly Recommended!"
Tenor Sax DARREN RAHN
"The Ambipoly Classic is the most resonant and expressive synthetic reed I have played to date. It exhibits great consistency from reed to reed, and blows freely and evenly, lasting longer than other synthetics I’ve tried. Most importantly, it allows my musical voice to speak with clarity and depth. The Ambipoly Classic is another fine example of Silverstein’s continuing legacy of excellence."
