GIUSEPPE DUGO is an Italian clarinetist born in Siracusa in 1987 and currently a resident of Avola(SR). He began his musical education at the age of 9. In 2007, he recieved his diploma in clarinet, with the highest possible grade,from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “Vincenzo Bellini” Catania, under the instruction of Prof. Carmelo Dell’Acqua. In 2010, he recieved a second level diploma with the highest possible grade, in interpretation-composition, under the instruction of Prof. Carmelo Dell’Acqua and Riccardo Insolia. He has participated in numerous masterclasses and seminars with artists of International renown including : Martin Frost, Hermann Stefansson, Milan Rericha, Karl Leister, Philippe Cuper, Kari Kriikku, Philip Glass, Salvatore Sciarrino, Paolo De Gaspari, John De Beer, Paolo Beltramini. As an artist, he is a member of the ensemble “Calamus” of Catania, which performs throughout mainland Italy, as well as which ,he performs regularily as a soloist in duet and trio formation together with Prof. Salvatore Vaccarella (pianist) and Salvo Guastella (tenor) in numerous theatres throughout Italy. He also collaborates with the CSI wind ensemble and the orchestra of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana under the baton of conductors of world fame such as John Neschling, Mario Venzago, Vladimir Verbitsky, Arturo Tamayo, Pierangelo Gelmini, Gabor Meszaros and with soloists including Enrico Dindo, Francesco Tamiati Omar Zoboli. In 2012, he won the post of second clarinet in the orchestra “Academy Art Foundation” Lanzo D’Intelvi (CO). He is also an active member of the contempory wind ensemble Sinestesia Gioventù Musicale” of Milan. In 2012, he was invited to participate in the audition for the philharmonic academy at the Zurich OpernHaus and in 2013 he was invited to participate in the audition for clarinet solo at the Houston Symphony Orchestra and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, he had the honour of playing at the musical testimonial of the CCSVI which is the association of multiple sclerosis in Lomardy,Italy with important figures such as: Marco Traverso, Massimo Incarbone, Mirella Pantano, Amarilli Nizza, Violeta Smailovic among others. He is a member of family of artists sponsered by the prestigious argentine reed company “Gonzalez reeds”. As of 2010 , he is the president of ANLAI youth. Currently,he is studying Master of Arts in Music Performance and Pedagogy at the Conservatorio della Svizzara Italiana under the instruction of professors of international renown Milan Rericha and Sergio Del Mastro.
