Won Yong Kim
To Won Yong Kim, the sight of the older boys in the elementary school band type was awesome indeed. He decided then he would go to a junior high school that had a band.
Born June 22, 1952, Won Yong Kim is now head of the Korea Saxophone Association and Director of the Korea Music Performaer’s Association. He is the recipient of the 2008 Achievement Award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, as well as the 1991 Korea Broadcasting Award.
